Hello good people and welcome to A Future For All, a blog
built around the hope of solving our future’s problems and when I say future,
I’m referring to all things sci-fi (and supernatural, why not) in film,
television, vids, theories, daydreaming, what have you. To properly introduce myself I have to
first come clean, I’m a bit of a nerd…well pretty nerdy, and the subject matter
to follow most likely will be too, though I genuinely promise to be cool about
it, like that’s the whole reason I’m writing this thing. Well, the real reason for this blog is
rant about all the discrepancies that keep popping up in the sci-fi genre,
enough to call into question the intentions of those producing this much
beloved content I obsess over and to rave about things that go right. Would I consider myself an expert in
these matters? Meh, expert has been used loosely lately so, yeah, I mean I’ve
clocked enough hours in front screens to be considered one by the Malcolm
Gladwell standard so we’ll go with that. Sci-fi has been a love of mine forever. As a I kid my father gave me the
nickname Newt after his favorite character in Aliens and I used to write fan-fic for Nickelodeon’s Space Cases back in ’96, yeah anyone
remember that, its on Youtube now and is still pretty great (shout out to Jewel Staite as Catalina). Its just one
of those things that invites your imagination to run wild, to believe in the
unexpected, and inspires you the individual to want to create your own worlds,
universes planes of existence because its all valid. People want to jump on board because there’s nothing we love
more than something new, something different and improved (hopefully). Its pure dream manifestation, what
isn’t there to love in that?!
Laters…
